Dental & Philanthropic Community Involvement – Collinsville, VA
We Truly Care About the Community
Our dental office has been a part of Collinsville for decades, so needless to say, we really care about the place we call home! To show it, every year, we hold an event called Give Thanks for Smiles, where we provide a wide variety of dental services for a flat fee of $50. This money is then donated to local food banks to further serve those in need. We’re also partnered with Smiles for Schools, which is dedicated to providing children with basic services and education so the last thing they ever have to worry about during class is a toothache. Dr. Lavinder has also supported Donated Dental Services since 2000, a program that provides free dental care to the elderly, people with disabilities and those medically-compromised.
Collinsville Dental Associates - Give Thanks for Smiles Event
The Collinsville Dental Associates’ “Give Thanks for Smiles” benefit fundraiser took place on November 5th and November 12th, 2022. Dental services, such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings were provided for a fee of $50 for each procedure. Collinsville Dental Associates donates all materials and supplies needed for the procedures. All of the proceeds received were donated to The Community Fellowship Winter Warming Shelter.
Collinsville Dental staff volunteers included 2 dentists, 3 hygienists, 4 dental assistants, and 3 office staff members. Overall, 28 patients were treated enabling a donation of $1,500 to The Community Fellowship Winter Warming Shelter. Dental services valued at over $3,000 were performed to help our community in coordination with this event.
